- Cope with challenges
- Use emotional information in an effective and meaningful way (make decisions)
Emotional Intelligence has been found to be a very important predictor of success for people in organisations as well as in life! We all know people who failed miserably in school, yet turned out to be very successful people based on their ability to get along and work with other people effectively. Based on their IQ, this may not have been expected.
… and the really good news is that unlike IQ, emotional intelligence is not a static factor. On the contrary, one’s emotional intelligence can change over time and can be developed in targeted areas.
