How important is Emotional Intelligence (EI) to Your Performance?
Organisations are people; people have emotions.
Undertaking our “Using Emotional Intelligence at Work” workshops will help your people to:
- Understand the positive benefits of using their Emotional Intelligence
- Manage their emotions to reduce stress and increase creative energy
- Respond appropriately to the emotions of others, empowering working relationships
- Encourage an atmosphere of creativity, energy, trust and innovation
- Build strong teams which generate success for the organisation
Research has shown that "EI" is an important predictor of success.
Studies indicate that emotional intelligence or emotional quotient (EQ) accounts for 20% to 45% of an individual's success on the job.
Because of the furious pace of change in business today, difficult to manage relationships sabotage more businesses than anything else - It is not a question of strategy that gets us into trouble, it is a question of interaction and emotions.
“EI” makes good business sense; as it underpins the alignment of your business and people strategies, and it has a direct impact on:
- Innovation and creativity
- Strategic planning and strategic breakthroughs
- Building trust through open and honest communications
- Motivation and teamwork
Using Emotional Intelligence at Work
“Using Emotional Intelligence at Work” focuses on the key emotional dimensions that impact on our working lives. In the past, emotions have been seen simply as a hindrance to rational processes and efficiency, yet we all know that organisations are a cauldron of emotions, both positive and negative, which have a powerful influence on the success or failure of an enterprise. Far from getting rid of emotions, we need first to understand them, and then use them, in a positive way. “Using Emotional Intelligence at Work” is made up of 16 Half Day Workshops, that are tried and tested, that can be used individually or as a group of workshops tailored to meet the organisations or departments need. You could put two workshops together to make a one day session.
